I don’t call myself a cook but I definitely love to cook. And I was a pretty happy man when I was invited for a live cookout along with some fine wine at Hyatt Bangalore by Four Seasons and GingerClaps. Four Seasons Wines recently partnered with GingerClaps to give an experience that is true to its name. This January, Four Seasons Wines hosted a Live Cookout at The Hyatt, MG Road, Bangalore exclusively for the Bangalore Blogger community. 

The event had the chefs of the hotel and the bloggers cooking together on Weber grills for an interactive session and the dishes prepared were Pastas and Grilled food. The highlight of the evening was the pairing session whilst the food was being prepared. The Four Seasons range of varietal wines for matching sauces in pasta and Four Seasons Barrique range to match with the sauces were used in grilled food.

I would cherish the experience of live cookout for a long long time. Trust me when I say, I really loved what I cooked at the event. My exotic garlic bread was appreciated by many and let me quote one of my fellow bloggers. He said- “These garlic bread is any time better than what the leading Pizza joints offer”.  The other dish I prepared was grilled chicken which tasted better than it looked.

Now talking about the wine experience- it was simply amazing. Enjoying a glass of wine is like holding a story by the stem. Theme, character, composition – critical elements of a story, all find expression in India’s most awarded range of wines - Four Seasons.  The award-winning range of wines have been crafted with the technical expertise of Bouvet-Ladubay, France and perfectly complement different styles of cuisines.

The varietal range is available in three reds, three whites and a rose and has been styled to suit the diversity of the Indian palate. Hence, one will find the wines fairly fruit forward, with a good balance.  The premium range of Four Seasons  Barrique Reserve Collection, available in two popular varietals – Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, are made in limited batches and undergo a nine-month maturation in new French oak barrels that lends these wines a subtle complexity, an enigmatic bouquet, a velvety texture and a lingering finish – truly living up to their reserve designation.
