History of finest scotch in the world and its new entrant - Triple Gold Reserve (TGR)

There are two types of scotch in the world
1) Black Dog and 2) All the others

It is human tendency to embrace the best, what they like the most, what they adore the most and what they are very passionate about. And now you know why Black Dog is the most preferred scotch brand in the world. People finds it better than any other brand, they lives by it and swear by it.

So people, wouldn't you be interested to know more about that one thing that you adore the most? Wouldn't you be interested to know more about that one thing that gives you immense happiness when your lips get a feel of it? Wouldn’t you want to dig in the history of most preferred scotch brand in the world and know how its existence came in this world?

Come along with me in the time machine and let’s go back to 1880s to find out about the birth of Black Dog.

And here we are. It’s 1883 and we see Walter Millard, a Scot in British India, travelling to Scotland in search of an impeccable whisky. After toiling hard to find the best, his search ended in a blend created by James Mackinlay, of the second generation of the Leith Scotch Whisky blending family.

Being a keen angler himself, Walter Millard named the whisky Black Dog in honour of his favourite salmon fishing fly used in the Spey and Tay rivers of Scotland since the early 19th century. Thus was born Black Dog Whisky.
Now that you know the history of Black Dog, let’s travel to the present. And today, more than a hundred years later, Black Dog Whisky remains faithful to the original blend, an undisputed scotch champion.

I believe that being consistent over the period of years, being innovative; being unique is what makes Black Dog the most trusted brand in the world. Black Dog always believes in giving the best, something new, something different to its patrons. And what better example than its new baby – Triple Gold Reserve (TGR), which is a masterpiece in itself. As the name itself suggests, is the only blended Scotch that is produced involving a triple maturation process.

The triple maturation process which involves Grain whiskies and Malt whiskies separately matured in American Bourbon Casks and  then blended together and matured again in Oloroso Sherry Butts for an extra longer period of time to give the blend a distinctive flavour and a delicate finish.

As per the consumer research conducted on the blend of TGR, it has been appreciated and accepted as a parallel to any 12 Y.O blended scotch.

Every journey to success is dotted not just with milestones of achievements, but with well-deserved breaks, which make the going worthwhile. When the pressures of the day gently ease and you make time to explore finer pleasures and enjoy the warmth of friends. A time so vital to refresh, rejuvenate and recharge your spirit.
