Verdict: 4.5/5
Gotta
group of friends and want to hang out at a place which makes you high the
moment you put your foot in? A place which offers foot tapping music, hookah, sumptuous
Polynesian delicacies and exotic cocktails, synonym to its name? There is one
name that has it all and they call themselves – Three Dots & a Dash, a
new age bar that brings alive the traditions of Tiki!
Located
in the ever buzzing locality of Indiranagar, this is one of the few places in
the city that has made a name for itself in a very short span of time (six
months, seven days to be precise).
The name is inspired from a drink which was made by one of the greatest
cocktail creators "Don the Beachcomber ". Three dots and a dash is
the morse code for the letter "V" and that was used to symbolize
victory in World War II. Ernest Raymond Gantt, famously known as Don the
beachcomber, created this drink as a tribute to the American soldiers who
fought in World War II.
This
rooftop bar not only serves amazing cocktail but will leave you enthralled with
its presentation and ultra-chick serving glasses. The visitors can also savor
Tropical Sheeshas with exotic flavors as they soak in a taste of Hawaii.
Highlights from the menu
Herb Cheese Stuffed
Mushrooms
Long
story short, this is one thing you should definitely try whether or not you
like mushrooms, it is exceptional. The melting mozzarella cheese, fresh herbs
and stuffed mushrooms will make you
shameless, asking for more and more.
Bacon Wrapped Sausages
Can you
think of anything that can get better than chicken sausages wrapped in bacon?
Well, I can’t. This marriage of bacon and chicken is still a better love story
than Twilight.
Spinach Stuffed Cottage Cheese Steak
Ohh boy,
this doesn’t get any better. That big loaf of cottage steak in a heart shape
(well almost) with a hint of bitterness from spinach served alongside crème glazed
pineapple, carrot and broccoli, takes this dish to a different level
altogether.
Chicken Prawn
This is
another blockbuster from Three Dots. Chicken and prawn is topped with aromatic
greens and is served with saffron herbed rice, banana tomato salad. The rice
with the smooth chicken and prawn curry blends really well.
Cocktails
Before I go
into the details of few drinks, would like to congratulate the entire team of
Three Dots who has put in so much of effort in ideating and bringing these
drinks to reality.
Caribbean Cooler
A refreshing
punch with combination of vodka, Caribbean rum, cranberry juice, tender coconut
water, flavored with blue curacao served in green coconut shell.
Zombie Punch
Legend has
it that Donn beach originally concocted the zombie to help a hung-over customer
get through a business meeting. He returned several days later to complain that
he had been turned into a zombie for his entire trip. Well, it is a combination
of white rum, gold rum, brandy, pineapple juice, orange juice and bitters. Its
smooth, fruity taste works to conceal its extremely high alcoholic content.
Missionary’s Downfall
This
cocktail is a refreshing combination of white rum, peach syrup, pineapple juice
and ginger ale. It is a hot favourite at Three Dots.
Three Dots and a Dash
This is a
must try cocktail made with a tweak from its original formula. The best part of
the drink is, its over-the-top garnish, a token trademark of the tiki genre. It
combines white rum, brandy, apple juice and red bull.
